Day 1 update of the Embassy adventure

Hello all! We have a short update on the emails sent to every London Embassy.

First we have 4 responses, 4!!! Considering I expected my email to end up in their junk pile 4 replies is amazing. So the select few are Norway, Iceland, Portugal and New Zealand.

As you might have guessed with a reply this quick it is doubtful they sent anything. Sadly this is true. All 4 sent their appologies that they could not send anything, not even an ebassy headed letter saying hi John. However, all 4 did send links to learning more about their country and cultures. I have put the links below because who knows you might want to give it a read. I have to say the history of Icelands flag link was rather interesting. I myself have not gotten round to reading them all yet but I shall over the weekend.

As well as delving into the links sent I have now a list of all countries whos emails I could not find and will be hunting for emails for 52 countries over the weekend. Some of these are emails that bounced back and others are countries without emails addresses on the .Gov link or those without embassy’s in London.

Special shout out to our first three replies Norway, Iceland and Portugal. New Zealand in a respectable fourth, who signed off their email, ‘Thank you for your email and we wish you all the best with your writing venture.’ Which I thought was a lovely touch that they really read the email. Maybe even paid 195Wanderer a visit, who knows!

We continue to wait with bated breath as to what might happen next!
